This past June I had the opportunity to take a short-term trip to Guatemala with a group from my church. We worked with an organization called Potter's House, whose mission is to transform the lives of the 11,000+ people living and scavenging in the Guatemala City dump. The group that I went with had the specific task of running a kids camp for a few days. This not only gave the kids an opportunity to get out of the dump and get some fresh air, but also to be encouraged, have a bit of fun, and know they are loved.
